Take Five minutes for yourself: Breathing Techniques to reduce stress

Take five minutes for your self.

Most common and easy to do is a Pranayaam(breathing technique) on a daily basis. Count your breaths. Start with a number in mind. start small. Begin with the number 10 or 15. The way to count your breath in your mind is to count in reverse direction in your mind. Keep this possibly in a seated position, quiet space. It could on be a chair,on the mat or even in front of your computer, or even in the car. Your focus on your breath.

Start with the mental count this way.

Inhale- 15 exhale-1,Inhale -14 exhale-2, keep going until you reach to Inhale-01 and exhale 15. Try not to lose count. In case you do lose count, just start all over again. See how many counts you can go without getting distracted with other thoughts. Keep this for at least three days to one week on a daily basis.Once the established number count has been achieved without interruptions, Challenge yourself with slowly increasing the number count in the next week. Please share how it goes..
